On March 21, 2017 Dr. Donato Nitti from KEIS law firm of Florence, invited by Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property, arrived in Tongji University, Shanghai, China, and gave a lecture on trademark management in Europe to postgraduate students of SICIP.

In his lecture, Dr. Donato Nitti introduced new progress of EU trademark legislation, focused on analyzing geographical indications, certification trademarks and collective trademarks in EU. Through his lecture, students knew the management way of these three types of trademarks in EU law and learned more practical skills from real cases in trademark field.

Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property was established by Tongji University under the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the State Intellectual Property Office of the PR China (SIPO) in November 2016.

The SICIP goal is to gather international excellent faculties and build an international top sustainable development-oriented discipline in Intellectual Property, a world-class international high-end Intellectual Property training platform and a global think tank for sustainable development and intellectual property research. The SICIP will be in charge of the Board of directors by the Dean Responsibility System, under which are the International Advisory Committee, International Academic Committee and Executive Committee. All the faculties of the SICIP will be selected by the global recruitment and managed by contract.
